The Desert Tree

The desert tree,

Standing tall daily.

Facing the rays of the sun,

Enduring the blows of the wind,

Awaiting the fall of the rain,

Resisting the onslaught of marauding termites,

Welcoming the arrival of nesting birds,

Providing shade to the tired explorer.
